JHS Student Makes TMEA
All State Choir
January 6, 2007

This past Saturday a Jacksonville High School 11th grader won 4th chair in the Texas Music Educator's Association (TMEA) All State Treble Choir. The TMEA All State Choir is the highest level of achievement that an individual high school choir student can make. The student will travel with the JHS choir directors to San Antonio in early February where she will rehearse and sing in concert with the top high school singers in Texas. This student is a product of lots of hard work and determination. She placed in the top part of her Alto 2 section in every level of competition. She is also the first JISD female choir member to place in the Texas All State Choir in over six years. She is a fine example of our award winning JHS Choir and all of JISD.
JISD Choir Directors are Janet Gandy, Jan Childs, and Erin Blankenship
